Production Design Process

For Kelsey, collaboration and creative problem-solving bring the world of the story to life. As a Production Designer, she draws insight from Writers, Directors, and Producers to shape the Art Department’s contribution—defining tone, analyzing characters, and layering in metaphor through design. Working closely with the Director of Photography and Costume Designer, she ensures a cohesive visual world where even the smallest details are cared for. From mood boards and sketches to prop fabrication, set builds, and on-location transformations, she turns concepts into tangible realities. Kelsey works as a New York City-based Production and Set Designer, but is available to travel for projects.
