American Heart Association: HeartSaver

The HeartSaver training course provides practical, life-saving education in CPR, AED use, First Aid, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP for healthcare professionals, educators, parents, childcare providers, workplaces, and the general community. The training covers essential skills for responding to medical emergencies involving adults, children, and infants—from performing CPR and using an AED to providing first aid and supporting advanced resuscitation.

The course teaches participants how to recognize and respond to emergencies in real-world environments, while incorporating technical instruction and hands-on demonstrations in a studio setting. Through practical exercises, simulations, and step-by-step instruction, participants develop the knowledge and confidence to perform critical interventions and respond effectively when lifesaving action is needed.

The Production Designer shaped a cohesive visual language across both the real-world scenarios and studio instruction. The on-location environments were designed to feel authentic and documentary-like, but were actually carefully crafted sets layered with lived-in details that made each space believable. The studio builds drew inspiration from these environments, creating a visual connection while taking a more abstract approach. Floating walls and minimalist architectural elements suggested a home, workplace, daycare, warehouse, or office without literally recreating each space, providing a clean and focused backdrop for the instructors. The studio set was designed as a modular system that could be easily reconfigured and customized for each scenario while incorporating the same essential components for efficient reuse. American Heart Association brand colors were integrated throughout both the realistic locations and studio sets, contributing to a cohesive, ownable visual identity that made the course instantly recognizable and distinctly branded.
